Jake Chelios signs to play in Russia's KHL after stint with Red Wings

Jake Chelios made his NHL debut with the Red Wings this past season.

He's heading to Russia to play in the KHL, signing with the Kunlun Red Star.

Chelios, the son of Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios, played 64 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2018-19. He registered one goal and 14 assists. He was a plus-18.

Chelios is 28 and played five games with the Red Wings.
