ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Jim Harbaugh has been through this rivalry before in his life.

He has been a part of Michigan and Ohio State as the son of a coach, a player, and as the head coach of the Wolverines.

Harbaugh knows this week is different, as he told WXYZ in the coach's weekly one-on-one Inside the Huddle conversation.

"The winning locker room in Indiana was different. There's a bounce in the step as you walk through the hallways here, of Schembechler Hall. Looking forward to seeing that on the practice field as well," Harbaugh said.

This week is different than any other week. Harbaugh said he keeps an eye on Ohio State "on a weekly basis."

"For me, I did not use an alarm clock today. I was up and at it," he said.

Michigan has not beaten Ohio State in Harbaugh's tenure, a notorious 0-4 in his first four seasons. The Buckeyes are undefeated this year, and have dominated opponents in every game before beating Penn State in a close battle last week.

“Heck of a good football team in all areas. Defensively, one of the best in the country, if not the best. Offensively, same can be said. They do a heck of a job in the kicking games, as well. It's a formidable opponent," Harbaugh told WXYZ. Preparation has been underway for awhile now, and looking forward to practicing it this week and playing it on Saturday.”

Don Brown's defense struggled all day in The Game last year in Columbus. Harbaugh has no doubt in Brown and his gameplan.

“I know how great Don Brown is. I've never coached with a better coach than Don Brown and he’s up and at it, too, as we all are. We’re all very excited for the ball game.”
