SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) -- Lawrence Tech announced Thursday it will begin construction this spring on permanent seating at its outdoor stadium.
The university will spend $2 million on a steel-and-concrete structure, including 2,300 permanent seats and a press box. The facility will also expand to include an athletic training and conditioning facility.
“We are delighted to build on the strong start that we have already established with the growth of our athletic programs,” Lawrence Tech president Virinder Moudgil said in a release.
The stadium expansion project, like the 2017 field installation and 2018 lighting installation projects, will be funded by anonymous donors.
