Lions Reid, Warford out Sunday, Levy doubtful

Posted

(WXYZ) -- Lions DT Caraun Reid and G Larry Warford are out for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers, as they both recover from high ankle sprains. LB DeAndre Levy is listed as doubtful, while T LaAdrian Waddle is listed as questionable.

Levy's status is doubtful, but it would be surprising if he did take the field Sunday. He's been battling a hip injury and hasn't practiced in almost three weeks. If Levy doesn't play start Sunday, the Lions will likely be looking to Josh Bynes to take his place.

TE Eric Ebron and LB Tahir Whitehead are both listed as probable.

It's likely that Manny Ramirez will start Sunday in place of Warford, with first-round draft pick Laken Tomlinson likely starting as well.

It's also probable that rookie Gabe Wright and Jermelle Cudjo will fill in for Reid.

As for DT Haloti Ngata, Head Coach Jim Caldwell says "he’s practiced both days and has done well. So we anticipate having his services.”
