DETROIT (WXYZ) — Matthew Stafford's season is over. The Detroit Lions have placed Stafford on injured reserve, Head Coach Matt Patricia announced Tuesday.
The move comes six weeks after Stafford suffered broken bones in his back on Nov. 3. He hasn't played since that game, missing his first start in 136 games.
Before the injury, Stafford had thrown for 2,499 yards and 19 touchdowns with five interceptions. The team is 3-4-1 since he was injured.
