The 2018-19 Detroit Red Wings season kicks off on Thursday night from Little Caesars Arena and the roster has been finalized for the season.

Detroit will go with four alternate captains this year after Henrik Zetterberg announced he is done playing hockey. Dylan Larkin and Frans Nielsen will wear the "A" joining Niklas Kronwall and Justin Abdelkader. Neilsen will be an alternate during away games and Larkin during home games.
Zetterberg will lead the ceremonial puck drop at the game on Thursday night.
Kronwall, Mike Green and Jonathan Ericsson will start the season on injured reserve. The team has 14 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
