FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — The best volleyball player in Michigan keeps making history.
Jess Mruzik Team USA to a gold medal at the U-18 world championships, then led Farmington Hills Mercy to the state title.
On Wednesday, she was named the Gatorade national volleyball player of the year. She's the first volleyball player to win the award in the history of Michigan.
