Quinn Hughes has grown up playing in metro Detroit, with USA Hockey's NTDP and Michigan's hockey program. He went No. 7 overall to the Canucks in Friday's NHL Draft.

"I'm just really excited to be a Canuck. I think it's a great spot," he told Brad Galli.
