DETROIT (WXYZ) -- The Michigan Sports Hall of Fame welcomed its 2017 class Friday night at an induction ceremony held at the Max Fisher Music Center.
The 2017 class includes bestselling author Mitch Albom, former University of Michigan and NFL lineman Jon Jansen, Oakland University men's basketball coach Greg Kampe, former Tigers manager Jim Leyland, two-sport star Dean Look, former Michigan State and NFL wide receiver Andre Rison, five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman, and former Michigan and NBA forward Jalen Rose.
Look and Rodman were unable to attend Friday's ceremony, but the Hall of Fame announced both are invited for the 2018 ceremony.
Due to scheduling conflicts @dennisrodman & Dean Look are unable to attend tonight's induction. We look forward to both attending in 2018.
