Posted

After a stellar game against the Air Force Falcons on Saturday, Michigan State wide receiver Aaron Burbridge was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week.

The senior, who went to Farmington Hills Harrison in high school, set career highs with eight catches for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

This was his third straight game with more than 100 receiving yards, and all of his touchdowns came from at least 20 yards out.

Also, seven of his eight catches resulted in either a first down or touchdown, according to the Big Ten.

This is the first Offensive Player of the Week award for Burbridge, and the first for Michigan State since Jeremy Langford in October 2013.

Other Big Ten weekly awards went to Northwester linebacker Anthony Walker on defense, Iowa kicker Marshall Koehn for special teams, Indiana safety Jonathan Crawford and Penn State running back Saquon Barkley for Co-Freshmen of the Week.
