Michigan's Jimmy Kerr among 30 Tigers picks on final day of MLB draft

(WXYZ) -- The Detroit Tigers selected 30 players Wednesday during the final day of the 2019 MLB draft.

The Tigers selected a total of 40 players (23 position players, 17 pitchers) in this year's draft.

Detroit selected Michigan 3rd baseman Jimmy Kerr in the 33rd round, the team's lone selection of a player from an in-state school.
