Michigan's Naz Hillmon named Big Ten Preseason Co-Player of the Year

MICHIGAN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL JUNIOR NAZ HILLMON HAS BEEN NAMED THE BIG TEN PRESEASON CO-PLAYER OF THE YEAR BY COACHES, and named the Pre-Season All-Big Ten by coaches and media. — Michigan Women's Basketball junior Naz Hillmon has been named the Big Ten Preseason Co-Player of the Year by coaches, and named the Pre-Season All-Big Ten by coaches and media.

Hillmon is the first Michigan player to be named conference player of the year in the pre-season.

After a great freshman season, Hillmon had an incredible second year with the Wolverines. She finished in the top 5 in the Big Ten in scoring average, rebounding and field goal percentage. She also led the league and ranked 13th nationally in offensive rebounds per game.

She was unanimously named first-team All-Big Ten and also earned a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention.

Hillmon was also a finalist for the Katrina McClain award given to the country's top power forward.
