DETROIT — Nate Lashley was emotional in victory, capturing his first PGA Tour win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic at Detroit Golf Club.
The 36-year-old led wire-to-wire, finishing 25-under par.
Everyone has a story. Lashley's story jumped to the forefront of the golf world during his historic run this weekend.
He lost his parents and girlfriend in a tragic plane crash in 2004.
"My parents have always went through my mind because without them I wouldn't be here," he told WXYZ sports anchor Brad Galli.
