OAK PARK, Mich. — Oak Park's football team went 1-5 in the regular season, with its only win coming on a forfeit.
Now the Knights are in the state quarterfinals.
In a season where everyone made the playoffs, Oak Park got its best player healthy and hasn't looked back. Michigan State commit Rayshaun Benny had surgery before the season after injuring his meniscus in a car accident. He decided to have surgery because the season was postponed to the spring - until it wasn't. Missing the entire regular season, Benny is back and Oak Park hasn't lost in the postseason.
