DETROIT (WXYZ) — 2018 Masters Champion Patrick Reed is praising Detroit golf fans and the Detroit Golf Club course after his third round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Reed posted a -7 (65) during the third round which put him among those at the top of the leaderboard.
"The golf course is pure, it's in great shape. It's a birdie fest, you have to go out and shoot low, and you have to make birdies," Reed said after his round.
As for the fans, he thinks they're "absolutely great.
"They've either tried to pick you up if you weren't playing very well or they've gotten behind you and trying to see how low you can go. I've really enjoyed my time here in Detroit."
