The Pistons may be getting a new primary logo next season.
And the team may have been hiding it in plain sight for months.
First: take a look at this 2016 catalog of holiday images, with the 'TBD' placeholder in Detroit's spot.

Online, fans jumped to imagine what the new primary logo could be, considering the team switched in 2005-06 to the current logo. It's an ode to the traditional logo, worn during the Bad Boys era.
Then users began pointing out what may be the obvious: the Pistons marketing campaign may have been showing us a look into the future for a while now.
