The Detroit Pistons introduced their first round draft pick Luke Kennard Friday afternoon at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Kennard was taken 12th overall by the Pistons in Thursday night's draft. On Friday, Kennard was accomplanied by his family, agent and girlfriend and he was introduced to the local media.
Kennard said being drafted by Detroit was a huge relief and called Thursday night a "dream come true".
Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said Kennard's ability to score is a big part of why the Pistons selected him.
Van Gundy also addressed the concern some people have about Kennard's abilities and athleticism on defense, admitting it's something that needs to be addressed in the future. Van Gundy stressed that Friday was all about celebrating.
