(WXYZ) — The 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic did more than just show off the city of Detroit to the country, it also raised funds for the "Changing the Course" initiative.
Tournament Director Jason Langwell said the tournament raised $1.4 million, with the majority of funds going to Connect 313.
The @RocketClassic raised $1.4 million for charity this year. That surpasses the $1.2 million they raised in 2019, executive director Jason Langwell told us.

That amount surpasses the $1.2 million raised in 2019 during the inaugural event.
Bubba Watson, Harold Varner III, Jason Day and Wesley Bryan played in a 9-hole charity match Wednesday and raised $1 million for the initiative.
