DETROIT — The Red Wings are wearing different skate guards this week.
The players had maize and blue skate guards in their lockers on Thursday, ahead of their back-to-back games with the Blue Jackets. The biggest reason for the ode to the University of Michigan? The Stadium Series outdoor game is at Ohio Stadium on Saturday.
Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan suggested there may be other unique details planned for Saturday.
