Report: Calvin Johnson paid back Lions at least $1 million

Calvin Johnson's check to the Detroit Lions was much more than expected, paying back at least $1 million when he retired in March 2016. This according to a report from Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press. 

The NFL Player's Association recorded Johnson paid the Lions $320,000 when they required he pay back part of his 3.2 million signing bonus proration.

Johnson received a $16 million signing bonus when  he signed in spring 2012.
