(WXYZ) -- The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent infielder Josh Harrison, according to a report from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The deal is pending a physical.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the deal is worth $2 million guaranteed, plus another $1 million in incentives.
Harrison, who is expected to be Detroit's everyday second baseman, will be reunited with former Pirates teammate Jordy Mercer. The Tigers signed Mercer in December to be their new shortstop.
Harrison hit .250 with eight home runs and 37 RBI for Pittsburgh in 2018. In eight seasons with the Pirates, Harrison hit .277 with 52 home runs and 269 RBI.
