Angels' Place is inviting people to join a race to help their residents. The great news: runners and walkers can participate from wherever they want.

The Southfield-based organization provides homes and support for adults with developmental disabilities. This is 13th annual Angels' Place Race. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year's event is going virtual.

Angels' Place is asking participants to sign up online to donate and join their race. The event kicks off Saturday, May 16 and runners can sign up to run for days and weeks after that. People are being asked to run in a socially-distance manner where they participate.

There is a 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run. You can sign up here. Families and groups are encouraged to sign up together.

According to Angels' Place, "all participants will receive their swag, will be able to upload their times, and print out the virtual finisher's certificate."
