(WXYZ) — The Detroit Lions and quarterback Matthew Stafford have agreed to mutually part ways, with the team planning to trade him during the offseason, league sources confirm to 7 Action News.

The 32-year-old has been with Detroit for the past 12 seasons and was the first overall draft pick in 2009.
