(WXYZ) — The Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles jointly announced the cancellation of their Spring Training finale scheduled for Wednesday.

In a statement, the teams cited a "lack of available pitching as each team finishes spring camp."

Detroit is scheduled to open the regular season Friday, April 8 against the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park.
