DETROIT (WXYZ) -- Detroit Tigers pitcher Franklin Perez is expected to miss four to six weeks due to right shoulder tendinitis, the team announced Friday.
The right-handed pitcher is undergoing rehab at the team's facility in Lakeland, Florida. Perez had already been assigned to start the season with the Tigers' Advanced Class A affiliate in Lakeland.
Perez appeared in one spring training game for Detroit this season, giving up a hit and striking out one in one scoreless inning.
