(WXYZ) — It has been eight years since former Detroit Red Wings bruise brother Bob Probert died at the age of 45, and a new documentary will be released in theaters across Michigan Thursday telling his story.
"Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story" is directed by Gordie Day and is based on the book, "Tough Guy: My Life on the Edge," which was written by Probert and Kirstie McLellan Day.
Emagine Theatres across Michigan will be showing the film starting Thursday.
The documentary looks at the ups and downs of Probert's childhood, family life, hockey and battle with addiction.
