WATCH: Rocket Mortgage Classic kicks off at Detroit Golf Club

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Rocket Mortgage Classic, Detroit's first-ever PGA Tour event, kicks off on Tuesday, June 25 from the historic Detroit Golf Club in the heart of the city of Detroit. 7 Action News and WXYZ.com will provide you coverage of the event all week long from the course and beyond with specials throughout the week.

7 Action News specials
We will air three specials throughout the week of the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
On Tuesday, you can watch our Pairings Party special from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
You can watch our Teeing It Up In the D specials from Detroit Golf Club from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Who is playing?
The tournament has drawn some major names coming to Detroit, including Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Gary Woodland and many more. 10 of the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings will be in Detroit and seven Major champions.

Course layout
Detroit Golf Club was designed by legendary golf architect Donald Ross. They will play on the north course, with the exception of the first hole, which will be the first hole of the south course. It will play as a long par-72 with a length of 7,334 yards. You can take a hole-by-hole tour here.

Area 313
Area 313 will be the "signature holes" for fans and players at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. It will consist of the par-5 14th hole, par-3 15th hole and par-4 16th hole. It will feature stadium-style general admission seating for fans at the event.

If a player gets an eagle on 14, a hole-in-one on 15 and a birdie on 16, completing a 3-1-3 score in that stretch during the four days, they will win $313,000 to be donated to several youth-based charities in Detroit and one charity of the golfer's choice.

Plus, on Tuesday, Johnson, Fowler and Watson will compete in the celebrity challenge with the goal of getting a 3-1-3 score. The teams are:
