DETROIT — The Red Wings are finally back on the ice in Detroit, opening training camp for the 2020-21 season.

WXYZ sports director Brad Galli takes you inside the first skate:

The roster's core remains young, with Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha, Filip Zadina, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Filip Hronek returning. There are plenty of new additions added through free agency. Steve Yzerman was busy since the NHL's playoff bubble ended. He signed goaltender Thomas Greiss, forwards Bobby Ryan and Vladislav Namestnikov, and defensemen Jon Merrill and Troy Stecher.

The Red Wings open the season at home on January 14 against the Hurricanes.
