WXYZ — In a rematch designed to have the interests in mind to help battle the pandemic, PGA pros Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson teamed up with two of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, for a golf match that raised 2-million dollars.
Tiger and Manning won the event 1-Up, as both teams battled a rainstorm that made things interesting all day.
Brady and Manning, both known as better-than-average golfers, took some time to warm up to the bright lights of a nationally televised golf event.
After struggling for the first seven holes, Tom Brady finally arrived in the scoring, as he holed out an eagle on a wedge shot to help keep the match from spirling out of control.
Woods and Manning never gave up the lead, and for the second time, Woods edged out Mickelson in 'The Match.'
Plenty of celebrities chipped in to help raise all that money, as the 2-million dollars will help battle COVID-19.
