(WXYZ) — Temperatures climb back above average just in time for this weekend. This is ahead of a cold front that will bring rain and cool down Monday into Tuesday.
Saturday will be in the mid 60s with mostly sunny skies. Sunday could reach 70°, but areas north of Detroit will likely stay in the 60s.
It's not that unusual to reach 70° in late October. Record highs for this weekend are 85° (1953) [Saturday] and 80° (1920) [Sunday].
However, the average high is only 60°. The average high for next weekend drops to 57°.
