(WXYZ) — While the arrival of January includes the arrival of a new year, in Michigan, it means longstanding cold and cloudy weather.
7 First Alert Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes says January is usually one of the cloudiest months of the year and is the coldest month of the year.
Jan. 10, which falls on this coming Sunday, is the cloudiest day of the year in Michigan, according to Kevin, and it is cloudy or mostly cloudy 63% of the time on Jan. 10.
The lowest recorded temperature in Michigan, -21°, happened on Jan. 21, 1984.
