(WXYZ) — If you think summer is over, think again! The warmest temperatures in nearly three weeks return tomorrow.
A warm front will move across the area Tuesday pushing temperatures into the mid to upper 80s.
Wednesday looks just as hot and muggy with scattered storms possible across metro Detroit. As the warm front hovers nearby, you'll notice humidity creeping up, as well. The heat index will hover near 90 degrees through midweek.
The chance for rain and storms will continue on Thursday and possibly become more widespread and stronger Friday as the cold front moves through the area.
Temperatures on Thursday will still be in the low to mid 80s and low 80s on Friday.
The weekend looks warm, less humid and generally more comfortable with highs into the mid to upper 70s on Saturday to near 80 degrees on Sunday.
