A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR LAPEER AND SANILAC COUNTIES UNTIL 4 A.M. THURSDAY.
Tonight: The heaviest icing will be before midnight, but lighter sleet, lighter freezing rain, or freezing drizzle will still be possible through the night. We'll be monitoring potential power outages due to icing on trees and power lines. Low of 30° in Detroit and a few degrees colder north of the city. Wind: N 15-25 mph.
Thursday: Icy roads in the morning! As the wintry mix moves out, strong winds can be expected with a bit of sun in the afternoon. That makes the high much warmer at 45° in Detroit and 50° in Monroe while it stays around 40° north of M59. Wind: W 15-35 mph in the afternoon.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, breezy with a low of 18° and a high of 28°.
