(WXYZ) — Clouds will increase today, but Metro Detroit should still be able to reach the mid to upper 40s for highs. This is because of another storm system heading this way bringing milder air into the region. Just like last week, Southeastern Lower Michigan will be in the warm sector of this storm. This means we’ll see wind-whipped rain as opposed to snow to kick off the workweek.
The bad news is that this same low pressure will rapidly intensify as it lifts to the northeast, pulling some arctic air into the Great Lakes region. This will bring wind chills down to the 20s and teens by Tuesday & Wednesday.
Today: Mostly cloudy and breezy with a high of 46°. South wind gusts 20-30 mph. Rain possible after 8pm.
Monday: Light to moderate rain throughout the day. Morning temps in the low to mid 40s. High near 50°.
Tuesday: Colder with snow showers. High of just 35°.
