Posted
and last updated

Flood Warning along the St. Clair River until 10 am Thursday due to ice jams. Flood waters will freeze quickly after Thursday evening behind a strong cold front.

Tonight: Clouds increase late with a low of 19 in Detroit, but closer to 10-12° north of M59. Wind: Variable 5 mph.

Thursday: Increasing clouds with a chance of snow or rain after 5pm in Detroit (earlier to the southwest). Rain is likely to mix in Thursday night as warmer air moves into southeast Michigan. A few areas south of M59 have a chance of some freezing rain too, but just briefly. Rain switches back to snow very late Thursday night as temperatures drop again. Snow totals look like 1"-2" for the entire storm from late Thursday through early Friday. Not all of that sticks to the roads because of warmer temps.

Friday: Wet roads may freeze before sunrise as temperatures drop throughout the morning. Very windy with a few snow showers and temps in the 20s all day. Wind: SW 25-45 mph.
Wind chills could be a few degrees either side of zero.
