Metro Detroit Forecast: More snow for Sunday

and last updated

(WXYZ) — More snow’s on the way to Metro Detroit for Sunday afternoon and evening. Overall, we’re not expecting a lot of snow but it will accumulate quickly, which could make the roads rough while it’s coming down. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect.

A quick 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected across most of Metro Detroit with a few spots making a run at 5”. The higher totals will be dependent on snow banding - how heavy they are and where they set up.

South of I-94, there is a chance some of the snow could mix with rain towards the end of the day. This will cut into the snow totals for southern Washtenaw, Wayne Lenawee and Monroe counties.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy snow showers and flurries with lows near 23°.

Sunday: Increasing clouds with afternoon and evening snow likely. Accumulating snow into the night of 2" - 4". Highs late in the day around 35.
