Metro Detroit Weather: Winter Storm Warning begins at 10am

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR WASHTENAW, OAKLAND, LAPEER, LIVINGSTON, WAYNE AND MACOMB COUNTIES. BEGINNING AT 10AM WEDNESDAY UNTIL MIDNIGHT.

A heavy band of snow is expected to move through the area, bringing up to 6 inches of snow with THE HEAVIEST SNOW IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND THROUGH THE EVENING. Snow totals of 3"-6" will be common. The snow will be a little lighter feel than the last snow.

Tonight: Clouds break for a bit, but then increase late. Wind chills around zero. Lows: 8-13 / Winds: WNW 10-20
 
Wednesday: Winter Storm Watch: Snow moves in after the morning rush from the northwest. The heaviest snow accumulation will happen between 2-8PM making the evening commute very slow and difficult.. Highs 20-24 / Winds: SSE  5-10
 
Thursday: Partly sunny. Highs: 21-24 / Winds: NW 10
