Rain moves in tonight from the west with more fog. Some of it could be dense again, especially on the northeast part of Metro Detroit. As the rain increases temps on the northeast side in parts of northern Macomb, St. Clair, Sanilac, and northrn Lapeer counties could be around freezing Temps should slowly rise in these areas by morning. Toward Wednesday morning there could be some thunder through Wednesday morning. Most rain Wednesday will be in the morning. The best chance of some late sun is on the west side of our area. Those areas have the best chance to flirt with 60°. The coolest temperatures will hold in the upper 30s and low 40s in portions of northern Lapeer and Sanilac counties.

Thursday stays mild and near 50° with a few spotty showers possible late. From there, a steady cool-down takes over with mid 40s Friday eventually falling into the upper 30s by Saturday. Early next, week trends colder again with highs near 30°. So enjoy the midweek taste of spring, because it looks like a return to late-winter chill heading into the weekend. There could even be some snowflakes around with flurries Saturday and possibly some minor accumulation of new snow on Sunday.

Wednesday: Rain likely in the morning and a chance in the afternoon. Highs back well into the 50s with 59° in Detroit. Highs will get stuck in the upper 30s and low 40s north of I-69, especially along the Lake Huron shoreline. Winds: SW 10-20 mph.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a slight rain chance late. Highs in the upper 40s to near 50°. Winds: E 10 mph.
