A line of storms that moved through metro Detroit has knocked out power to thousands of people in parts of Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
DTE says 18,000 customers are affected by the outages, with western Wayne County being hardest hit. The rest of the outages are spread out across the area.
Also, more than 60 downed power lines have been reported. DTE Energy urges customers to use extreme caution when outdoors to avoid coming in contact with a downed wire.
