A number of local communities have declared snow emergencies ahead of Wednesday night's storm.

That means people in those cities should refrain from parking on the streets until the snow has been cleared away.
A Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties from 10 a.m. to midnight on Wednesday. It's expected some areas could get 5-8 inches of snow with possible snowfall rates of an inch or more per hour.
