Metro Detroit Weather: Much colder tonight

Snow showers and flurries wind down tonight as colder, drier air settles in. Temperatures should drop into the teens by tomorrow morning.  The chance of our first widespread accumulating snow arrives tomorrow night and lasts through Saturday afternoon with 1"-3" possible.  

NEXT 48 HOURS:

TONIGHT:  Mostly cloudy with flurries coming to an end. Temperatures drop into the upper teens overnight. Winds W 10-15 mph.
 
TOMORROW: After a very cold start partly sunny skies will struggle to get us just to freezing. Clouds increase late in the day. Then snow showers are possible at night. Winds: SW 10-20 mph.
 
SATURDAY: Snow showers likely, especially in the morning.  The snow gradually tapers off late in the afternoon.  Around 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected. Temperatures will be around the upper 20s and lower 30s throughout the day.
