(WXYZ) — No matter where you live in Michigan from Monroe to Macomb, from Ann Arbor to Armada, summer is a time to celebrate.

And summer festivals have it all – food, music, fun and games. It seems like every community puts on a festival when the weather warms.

7. Detroit Jazz Festival (Detroit)
At number seven is the Detroit Jazz Festival right here in Hart Plaza. You can enjoy great music and be right along the water.

It’s a jazzy musical journey from up and coming artists to world famous performers. It draws fans and performers from around the globe every Labor Day Weekend.

6. Woodward Dream Cruise
At 6 is one of the world’s best car fests! The Woodward Dream Cruise is a celebration of cars, cars and more cars from Ferndale to Pontiac every summer. And it gets better every year!

5. African World Festival (Detroit Midtown)
And next on our list is African World Festival here in the grounds of the Charles H. Wright Museum. It's a celebration of African history and culture.

4. Arts, Beats & Eats (Royal Oak)
Royal Oak’s Arts, Beats and Eats is a summer stand out. A juried art fair, nine stages of musics and more food that you can ever hope to eat! More than 330,000 visitors come out!

3. Michigan Renaissance Festivals (Holly)
Be transported back to the 16th century at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly. There are themed weekends, music, food, knights, jousting and jewelry.
