The 2017 Detroit Tigers season opener on Monday afternoon, with the team taking on their AL Central rival Chicago White Sox has been postponed.

The Tigers tweeted out the alert just before 6pm.

Where: Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago

When: 4:10 p.m.

How to watch: The game will air on Fox Sports Detroit with a Tigers Live beginning at 3 p.m. If you can't make it in front of the TV, you can also watch on FoxSportsGo.com or the FoxSportsGo app by logging in with your cable provider.

How to listen: If you can't make it in front of the computer or TV, you can listen on 97.1 The Ticket beginning at 3:40 p.m. You can listen to the Tigers' radio call on SiriusXM Internet channel 849 by logging in with your account.

Game notes: Justin Verlander gets the start for the Tigers while Jose Quintana will get the start for the White Sox.
